November Newsletter 2022

From the President.

The bowling season is now well and truly underway with club champs, inter club  and tournaments taking place regularly.

The club is also undertaking coaching sessions initially for brand new bowlers (which has already attracted new signings) and progressing to more advanced sessions for more experienced players.
Club coaches are also available for individual coaching by mutual arrangement.

I am also pleased to report that we have had a visit from Berry’s Bowling Systems to inspect and address the concerns that we have with our green and they have assured us that remedial work will take place.

Although, we have not been given a firm date  it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within the next couple of weeks and of course will cause some disruption to any bowling activities for a few days while the work is being carried out.

With Christmas fast approaching the club has several bookings for functions leading up to the big day.  These bookings are a vital part in the running of our club so please check the weekly Roll-Up before arranging club ties etc.

Finally special thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the spruce up of outdoor furniture, club rooms etc.  It is an ongoing job and your support is much appreciated.

Good bowling,
Tom

For Sale

The Club has a small printer that the Treasurer has been using that we would now like to sell.

It is Brother HL-121OW.

It uses a black toner cartridge only.

It is not wifi capable, so just plugs into your laptop.

Nor does it copy or scan, it is just a black and white printer.

Selling with a spare cartridge.

It’s a great little simple printer.  The Treasurer just requires something a little more sophisticated.

Selling for $70 which basically covers the cost of the brand new cartridge. A cartridge lasts for “simply ages”.
