Presidents Report

Well it is great to get the Summer season going with some lovely spring weather and some early season bowls underway.

We have already had ladies ‘Spring into Bowls’ tournament and Barbara’s Quick Mix Singles going well, and with inter club, pennants and tournaments about to ramp up we are sure to have another busy summer ahead of us.

Travel compensation for people who take vehicles to interclub etc has been increased to reflect the rise in fuel prices and the new schedule is posted on the noticeboard inside the clubrooms.

Congratulations to Jo Stock,Amy Swain,Barbara Wilson and Todd Swain on their selection to represent Central Otago and wish them all the best for their encounter with Southland this weekend.

I also welcome Murray Finn into our coaching ranks.Murray has just completed a Bowls N.Z coaching course and is now available for lessons.

Please contact Murray if you require any assistance, and he will be happy to help.

Finally it was great to have such an excellent turnout for our Spring clean day.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. It’s a true saying that many hands make light work.

Until next time,

Good bowling.

Tom
