Winter Bowls

The winter bowls season commences in late April and concludes at the end of August. All bowls are played in the club's Indoor Stadium with 5 rinks available. Weekly bowls sessions are available to both men and women using a pre-entry system as follows.

Pre-Entry System

In the Stadium there are entry forms for each session. You can only play if you have entered your name on the appropriate sheet. As there is a maximum number that can bowl at a session there may be some people who may be on a waiting list. If you find you cannot play then you must notify the organiser who will then contact the next person on the waiting list.

Stadium Membership

All full members of the Wanaka Bowling Club are eligible to bowl in the winter programme. It is also possible for other bowlers, including those from the Hawea Bowling Club, to take out a Stadium Bowls membership and play a full part in the very busy winter programme.

Every Saturday afternoon commencing 1.15pm those eight teams compete in 3 bowl Triples games. All full and Stadium members make up these 'suburb' squads and every week teams are differently made up so that everyone has an opportunity to bowl in this hallmark event. Click here for more.
