January 2023 Newsletter

From the President.

Christmas is now behind us and I trust that you had an enjoyable time with family and friends.

I was unable to attend the Xmas function but by all accounts it was a very enjoyable social time for all who attended. My sincere thanks to the Social Committee and Caterers who provided for the evening.

Congratulations to our members that have been selected to represent Central Otago in the upcoming tournament and best of luck and safe travels to Mark and Richie attending the Nationals in Auckland.

The next major event for our club is the Wanaka ‘Classic’ on the 11th and 12th of January and am quite sure will offer a high standard of bowls for players and spectators alike.

All the best for the New Year,
Tom

Good One Ken

On Friday 9 December Ken was behind the bar while a group "MINT" was enjoying their Christmas windup. Suddenly the skies opened and Ken was out on the green spraying with soap suds to increase the permeability of the mat surface. Good one Ken.
